About Me
As a Substance Abuse Counselor at Sarasota Addiction Specialists, I specialize in our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). My focus is on helping individuals who need a structured, high-level support system, while maintaining their personal, professional, and/or academic lives at home.

A Unique Perspective: Culture, Environment, and Healing
My approach to counseling is shaped by my background in both anthropology and social work. While social work equips me to address the psychological, emotional, and practical needs of the individual, my training in anthropology allows me to view recovery through a broader human lens. I look at how culture, social dynamics, family systems, and daily environments influence behaviors and coping mechanisms. This combined perspective enables me to provide truly holistic, culturally responsive care that meets clients where they are and addresses the real-world environments they navigate every day.

Approach & Expertise
In combination with customized treatment plans, I help clients develop essential coping strategies to manage triggers in real time, address the underlying root causes of addiction, and build the tools required for lasting, long-term sobriety without stepping away from daily responsibilities.

• Master of Science in Social Work (MSW) – Dominican University (Expected 2029)
• Bachelor of Science in Anthropology – Florida State University (2017)
